Grilled Chicken Hearts With Vinaigrette
These Grilled Chicken Hearts with Vinaigrette are sure to captivate your taste buds with their amazing flavor!
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 tbsp salt + more for sprinkling
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ lb chicken hearts
- olive oil (for brushing on)
Vinaigrette
- ½ cup parsley, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp honey
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- red pepper flakes, to taste
- salt, to taste
Instructions
- Trim off any excess fats and visible arteries from the hearts. Add salt and sugar to water in a bowl and stir to dissolve fully. Soak the hearts, cover the bowl with cling wrap, then refrigerate for 3 hours.
- Drain the hearts, then use pre-soaked skewers to thread through them, leaving a small gap between each piece. Place threaded skewers between paper towels to dry them.
- Fire up your grill to high heat. While waiting, make the vinaigrette by combining the ingredients together. Set aside.
- Brush skewers with olive oil and sprinkle a little salt before placing on grill. Turn occasionally and cook for around 4 minutes. Take care not to overcook them.
- Serve with vinaigrette and enjoy!
